5.5 How to Import Potentials?

Importing potentials from other applications is fairly possible in TDS CRM. Before importing potentials, ensure the following pre-requisites:

  • .csv file containing potential information.
  • Administrative rights to import potentials.
  • Close .csv file or related spreadsheets.
  • .csv file should not contain any apostrophe.

After ensuring the above conditions, follow the given steps to import the potentials.

  • Go to Sales > Potentials.
  • Click the Import icon from the toolbar.
  • From here begins the four steps of importing potentials. In the first step, browse and specify the .csv file. If the .csv file contains any header information, then check the option of Header. Likewise, select the Delimiter and Format from the drop-down list.
  • In the second step, map the CRM fields with the .csv header rows. If you want to use an already created mapping pattern, check the option of Use Saved Mapping and select it from the drop-down menu. If you want to save the mapping pattern for future reference, then check the option of Save as Custom Mapping and give it a customized name.
  • Third step is for the users who want to enable Duplicate Merging. If you do not want to enable it, you can stop the procedure here and click Import Now button to import the contacts.
  • If you select the option of Duplicate Merging, then select Manual Merging or Auto Merging as per your requirements. Moreover, select the match fields to find the duplicate records.
  • Click Import Now button.
  • The fourth step will show you the number of records successfully imported and number of records skipped because of missing fields.
  • The result page will show you three options:
  • Finish: To finish the process.
  • Import more: To import more records.
  • Last imported: To view the latest imported potentials.
  • Undo last import: To cancel the import function.
  • Once you will finish the process by tapping the Finish button, you will notice the imported potentials listed among the potentials on the potentials home page.
