In TDS CRM, you can also create products by importing them. The import procedure is simple and can be accomplished by following the given steps. Before importing the products, ensure the following pre-requisites.
- You should have product information in a .csv file.
- The .csv file should have the header column.
- The sort filter should be disabled in the .csv file.
- The .csv file should not contain any apostrophe.
- Close .csv file and related spread sheets before importing.
Import Procedure: First of all navigate to import function by:
- Go to Inventory > Products.
- Click Import icon from the toolbar. It will direct you to the import window.
- First step:
Specify the location of .csv file. Check the Header option if the .csv file contains header information. Select Delimiter and Format from the drop-down list. Click Next.
- Second step:
Map the custom fields with the header rows of .csv file. The fields marked with asterisk are necessary to map. The rest of the fields can be mapped if required. To use an already created mapping scheme, select the option of Use Saved Mapping and select the mapping pattern from the drop-down list. In order to save the mapping pattern, check the option of Save as Custom Mapping and name it in the given field.
- Third step:
Third step should be performed if you want to enable duplicate merging. To enable duplicate merging, check the option of duplicate merging. Select whether you want to go for manual merging or auto merging. Next, select the match field to find the duplicate records. Click Import Now.
- Fourth step:
It will show you the number of records successfully imported and number of records skipped due to missing fields. Here you can also perform the following operations:
- Finished: Finish the process
- Import more: Import more records
- Last imported: View the last imported record.
- Undo last import: Cancel the last import function
From the result list, you can click the Merge button to merge the records. Just select the records to be merged and press the Merge button.
